About the team:
The Sales Operations team provides the analytical, technical, and process underpinning of a 3000-person+ go-to-market team. From providing reporting and analysis, to developing new processes, to using technology to improve our teams, we wake up each day trying to improve sales performance. Recent changes at Angi have increased the importance of Sales Operations as the connective tissue that creates consistency in how we measure and manage the business. What will you do?
We are seeking an experienced Director/Associate Director, Sales Operations to join our team. The Director/Associate Director, Sales Operations will be responsible for overseeing and managing parts of the sales operations function, which includes sales compliance, sales compensation, and process optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the sales process and operations, as well as experience managing and developing a team.
Be a leader in defining and building the future of our sales processes and policies
- Monitor and assess sales compensation and compliance/quality assurance programs against goals, identify areas of improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure proper documentation and processes are developed, approved and followed
- Consult with senior leadership regarding program development and interpretation
- Work cross-functionally with Sales Leadership, Product, and Business Intelligence, to develop the short-term and long-term roadmap
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams on planned improvements and their current status
Play a key role in the development and ongoing maintenance of our next generation of reporting
- Using tools such as Excel, SQL, Looker etc… partner with team members to create the next generation of Angi’s sales compensation and compliance performance reporting
Deliver recurring reports and analysis
- With sales performance and compliance reporting established, perform ongoing tasks to keep reports up-to-date
- Continuously work to automate processes/reporting needs such that ongoing, manual execution is not required
- As needed, execute recurring analysis that is not possible to fully automate
What qualities are we looking for?
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in sales operations, sales management, or related field.
- Experience managing and developing a team of sales operations professionals.
- Intellectual curiosity balanced with an orientation for getting stuff done.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and operational excellence.
- SQL experience and knowledge of relational databases, Looker, and Excel. In cases where experience in specific tools is missing, experience in similar tools or a demonstrated history of learning will be considered
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and willingness to quickly pivot into new tasks as needed
- Ability to validate results of analyses by reconciling with data from other sources
- Attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and relentless follow through
