Associate II

About the role
Essential Functions:
•    Safe operation of the forklift vehicle including performance of a daily pre-shift and Operational Safety Checklist
•    Material handling as required throughout the production, warehouse and shipping areas.
•    Coordinate with all departments to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory and shipping needs. 
•    Prepare picked orders by checking staged orders; check for pallets with dirty bags; damaged pallets; broken seals; placing orders in loading area for easy / convenient move into trailer.
•    Build and wrap pallets for secure shipment with freight carriers / Shipping All outgoing shipments.
•    Ensure all pallets destined for outbound meet shipping standards before loading unto a truck.
•    Ensure the packaging room and all other packaging areas are kept orderly and conduct inventory counts as needed.
•    Provide production with all packaging needs throughout the shift
•    Pack and ship items securely and effectively to minimize breakage / tip offs / spills while in transit.
•    Ship all customer orders with accuracy and timeliness. Pack sold items properly and ship in a timely basis per policy.
•    Ensure all loads have the seal placed on the back and recorded on the appropriate document. 
•    Ensure that incoming and outgoing inventory and shipments are as secure and well-organized as possible.
•    Provide all required shipping documents to the shipping supervisor as instructed.
•    Attend Warehouse Team board meeting  and Timely completion of Safety skills monthly
•    Adhere to all safety standards to promote and preserve a safe working space.

 

Job Requirement:
•    High school diploma or equivalent, computer experience a plus
•    Certified BC forklift operator

•    Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. unassisted
•    Must be able to use RF Scanner
•    Team player with good communication skills
•    Must be willing to follow instructions from supervisors
•    Must be a results oriented individual who thrives on situations involving pressure
