Job Description

Nanolab Technologies is looking for an enthusiastic Analyst to join our dynamic Dual Beam group. Primary function would be TEM sample preparation of lamella for imaging of client samples using FEI 4xx/Helios Dual Beam FIB tools. The successful candidate will work as a part of a team and be expected to rapidly gain a working knowledge of many analytical techniques.

Work Schedule: 5pm-2am, Varied weekdays/weekends

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering or related field or equivalent industrial experience and
  • Experience in dual beam FIB and SEM operation
  • Solid understanding of electron microscopy, semiconductor device physics and failure analysis Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Self-motivated, organized and interested in learning

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time. 
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office or laboratory to access file cabinets, machinery, equipment etc.
  • Ability to continuously operate a personal computer or lab equipment for extended periods of time (4 or more hours).
  • Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other lab equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead   
  • Ability to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting.
  • Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
