Reporting to Director Physical Security US Region Director, the Manager, Corporate Security role provides leadership and subject matter expertise to CIBC Bancorp (CIBC) as it relates to the safety and protection of people, property and other assets. Responsible for promoting, implementing the security program and initiatives outlined by the Director.
Work Arrangement: This role will be fully onsite in downtown Chicago.
How You'll Succeed:
CIBC Code of Conduct - Following all aspects of the CIBC Code of Conduct as well as all applicable CIBC policies, frameworks, guidelines, processes and controls.
Purpose and shared values - Act in accordance with our Purpose and shared values, to achieve our Bank’s strategic goals
Risk Management - Track occurrences and incidents in the US Region, analyze information and recommend pro-active changes to ensure risk is maintained within CIBC’s risk appetite. Immediately escalate issues to the Director and requests for assistance to ensure risks are addressed in a timely manner.
Subject Matter Expert - On security design of facilities to safeguard people, assets and property. This includes representing Physical Security & Safety during market surveys, design phases and final accreditation of sites and its lifecycle of operations. Advise bank personnel of emerging security and safety issues and consults, guides the company in the establishment of controls to mitigate risks.
Operational Efficiencies - Manage internal and external service providers, ensuring contractual obligations and SLAs are achieved and maintained at an acceptable level. Research and analyze US security industry information for benchmarking and trending to support new initiatives and revisions of existing US Region programs and procedures.
Metric Reporting – Maintain metric data points and prepare monthly and quarterly reports. Engage other team members as necessary to ensure metrics are accurately reported.
Vendor Management - Ensure security vendors are performing as agreed upon. Security systems vendor providing new installations, scheduled maintenance or as needed. Security Officer provider scheduling permanent and ad-hoc assignments.
Requirements:
Must have 10 years physical security experience managing vendors.
Must have experience managing a team.
Prior Law Enforcement experience a plus.
