The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Habilitation Supervisor 1. DDD provides individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families, services and supports that are flexible, high quality, and member driven. These services provide individuals with opportunities to exercise their rights and responsibilities of independent decision-making and engagement in the community. Under direct supervision, the Habilitation Supervisor 1 is responsible for supervising and leading the Caregivers that they support, by example. In addition to assisting members with their, daily needs and Individualized Support Plans (ISP).
Applicants for this position cannot be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing Certification and Regulation, cannot have a principal interest in or have a spouse or close family with principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor Agreement, and cannot be employed or subcontracted by a DDD Qualified Vendor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Maintain compliance with required certification requirements & Managed Care surveys while ensuring staff are knowledgeable of & implement all federal and state regulations.
• Models/monitors behaviors to ensure all staff provide consistently high-quality care for members (i.e., appropriate attire, skin & nail care, bathing & grooming, provision of a safe & hygienic environment, and treating members with dignity, respect, and privacy).
• Responsible for problem solving personal issues, and for communication of pertinent information to employees as it relates to their job and the members in their care.
• Performs supervisory duties including but not limited to completion of performance evaluations, approves employee timecard entries, facilitates staff meetings, communicate with employees on performance, completes work schedules to ensure there is adequate staffing levels at all times and ensures all daily documentation is completed (e.g., employee timecard entries, program data, treatment sheets, etc.).
• Completes review of Client Incident Reports to ensure all information is accurate, complete with results received by the supervisor. Ensures calls are made to the administrator on the client incidents as required by policy (during the same shift that the incident occurred in).
• Completes all other duties as assigned.
Knowledge in:
• Agency rules, regulations (including but not limited to Federal Title XIX ICF/IDD), policies, and procedures.
• Individual Support Plan (ISP) process and the specialized needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Member’s rights and advocacy.
• Principals of applied behavioral management and positive behavioral supports.
• Interdisciplinary process, supervisory principals, problem solving, and various training strategies.

• Oral and written communication, listening, problem solving, teamwork, and team building.
