  • Identify, establish, and maintain a diverse network of quality externship sites for pharmacy technician students, ensuring alignment with program goals and standards.
  • Strive to achieve a 40% hire rate for students at externship sites upon completion of their externship experience.
  • Monitor and track student performance, attendance, and documentation throughout the externship process to ensure program success.
  • Ensure all externship sites comply with regulatory and accreditation standards, maintaining the program's credibility and excellence.
  • Conduct regular site visits to uphold quality standards and serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and externship partners.
  • Assist students with professionalism, career development, and job placement following their externship experience.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student externship assignments, performance metrics, and feedback from externship partners.
  • Lead externship orientations and actively participate in campus events to promote the externship program and its value to students and stakeholders.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, demonstrating expertise in the field.
  • Current and active State Board License along with NHA/PTCB Certification, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • At least 3 years of prior teaching or training experience, showcasing the ability to mentor and guide students effectively.
  • ACPE IV/Sterile Compounding Certification is preferred, reflecting advanced technical proficiency.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage program complexities and stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 20–50% of the time for site visits and externship-related activities.
