This is not an entry level position. Qualified candidates will have 2-3 years work experience in large shop or dealership setting including previous management experience. Required schedule will include evenings and weekends.
In the Business Development Manager role, you will:
- Manage Service Receptionist (SRs) by creating and maintaining a professional, efficient, consistent and positive work environment.
- Actively listen to and work through issues with employees in a positive and helpful manner.
- Make decisions on processes and policies that can be carried out by, or to all employees.
- Create, maintain, monitor and act on phone reports measuring SRs and dealership performance on a daily basis.
- Measure accuracy of SRs tasks and work time on a weekly basis.
- Respond to inbound calls and make outbound calls to prospective customers (40-50 outbound calls per day expected, 50-70 calls per day total).
- Monitor and update SR resources on a weekly basis to ensure SRs task success.
- Meet with all new SRs explaining processes and policies vital to department and introduce to the rest of the staff.
- Maintain a professional and positive work relationship with dealership department and general managers, and work to resolve issues in processes timely.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Successful candidate will have the ability to motivate staff and assist with all department processes.
Working conditions are primarily indoors spending up to full work shift working on PC, standing and/or walking for short distances throughout work shift, and frequent use of telephone.
