Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
The Chief Information Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of security within the organization, ensuring compliance with government regulations and company policies. Currently, the company is pursuing the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification. You will be expected to provide guidance and lead the audit team towards certification success.
We offer hybrid work arrangement in our Orlando, Florida office.

Our salary range for this position, based on the market data, is $80k to $100k per year (range varies depending on experience and qualifications).

Key responsibilities:
- Serve as the Corporate Facility Security Officer (FSO) with daily implementation and execution of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
- Administration of security procedures for classified materials, documents, and equipment in accordance with applicable policies and regulations
- Assist employees with the completion of security clearance paperwork
- Conduct security indoctrinations, annual refresher briefings, and debriefings of personnel
- Develop/prepare and/or modify, as necessary, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Operations Security (OPSEC) Plans, etc.
- Ensure adherence to the provisions of the NISPOM
- Review articles and documents for appropriate classification markings
- Maintain Document Control and Media Control inventory and database
- Coordinate with government agencies to obtain rulings, interpretations, and approvals for compliance with regulations
- Maintain a visitor control program- Manage and track visit certifications to and from the facility.
- Manage and administer GCC high tenant
- IT Strategy: Developing and executing the organization's IT strategy
- Leadership: Providing visionary leadership for technology initiatives
- Governance: Establishing and enforcing IT policies and standards
- Budget Management: Managing the IT budget effectively
- Cybersecurity: Ensuring robust cybersecurity measures
- Data Management: Overseeing data governance and analytics
- Team Leadership: Building and leading a high-performing IT team
- Digital Transformation: Driving technology-driven innovation
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engaging with other departments and stakeholders
- Reporting: Providing regular updates to senior leadership and the board
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or any relevant field.
- Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or a Master's in Information Systems is preferred.
- Must have Active/Interim Secret Clearance / Top Secret Clearance.
- Minimum of 7 years extensive experience in IT management, with a track record of success in strategic planning and execution and IT leadership roles is essential.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience within information assurance (IA) frameworks, including NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53 and CMMC.
- Experience with eMass, ServiceNow and/or XACTA, NIST SP 800-37, NIST DIACAP, RMF or ICD 503 or other information security frameworks helpful but not required.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity practices and a commitment to ensuring the security of the organization's data and systems.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address complex IT challenges and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and to foster effective collaboration.
