Position Summary

Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Human Resources and CHRO, the Director of Compensation and Talent Acquisition will be responsible for providing leadership and consultation in the areas of classification, compensation, and recruitment. The Director will serve as the leader and strategic partner to develop, implement, and provide ongoing evaluation of Human Resources programs that support the classification, compensation, and recruitment goals and priorities of Elon University.

Minimum Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field with minimum 5 years of experience with the following relevant work experience: six years of progressively responsible experience in compensation administration. Current or previous experience in a higher education environment.

Preferred Education and Experience

Master's degree in any relevant field of study

 

Job Duties

  • Talent Acquisition Oversight
    • Manage the evaluation and improvement of talent acquisition strategies, including the appropriate policies, tools, and processes.
    • Work with campus stakeholders to identify and implement standard best practices and campus resources to support attracting and retaining talent from point of application through onboarding.
    • Provide support for faculty talent as appropriate, including acting as liaison for faculty and staff members requiring immigration support with third party immigration counsel.
    • Provide support during process with all legal advice, visa recommendations, and immigration consultations being directed to external counsel.
