JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
The Project Management Manager position is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to System Planning Organization’s (SPO) team of Project Managers and Analysts who will manage from beginning to end, the design, development and execution of long-term procurement efforts for utility scale, long-term capacity and energy resources designed to optimize generation and/or load asset investments. This includes leadership and guidance to support the integration of a diverse portfolio that ensures traditional and renewable asset optimization which considers current market conditions, market contractual terms, corporate risk policy, as well as operating company regulatory strategy. This position must manage both internal and external relationships to optimize resources to support the team and provide transaction support from selection through execution of RFP resources or unsolicited offers.
This position is also responsible for annual business plan deliverables, capital prioritization, capital cost tracking by project, monthly capital coordination with finance, transaction management reporting, Investor relations reporting, and other strategic projects requiring project management leadership and guidance throughout the SPO requiring active coordination with internal and external counsel, consultants, and other key stakeholders.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic leadership to project teams to manage fossil or renewable generation asset transactions, including requests for information (RFI) and/or request for proposal (RFP) development and execution, independent monitor or consultant engagement, and internal approval of transactions resulting from the execution of Entergy's business strategies
- Ensure team can strategically assess, plan, oversee, and coordinate resource requirements, technology utilization, team structure, detailed activities, and milestones associated with assigned projects including, developing and updating detailed project schedules, managing project team development and protocol training, confidentiality agreement execution, document development and management, process requirements and team coordination, compilation of combined team findings into management reports and/or presentations
- Provide strategic oversight and guidance to the Project Managers who support the execution of contracts and/or acquisitions, coordination of document development for internal approvals from the Office of Corporate Risk to Board approval (commercial transaction or otherwise assigned), , transaction payment processing and responding to requests for information in support of the regulatory approval process
- Work extensively with legal resources to balance legal and business decision risk and ensure management is engaged in such decisions to support informed decision making and success in regulatory approvals
- Support utility business plan development and stakeholder engagement, including working with Finance and partners to support capital plan development for utility supply plans and capital prioritization efforts
- In addition, this position will manage market research, project budget development, and/or performance improvement initiatives. Therefore, this position will require staying abreast of potential changes in law, technology advancements, MISO rules, and accounting issues that could impact market risk or management strategies,. Position is expected to provide leadership, analytically look at situations and data, and look for ways to improve the organization.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education:
- 4-year degree in Business, Finance, other related field or equivalent work experience
- Preferred:
- MBA and at least 7 years of relevant progressive work experience
