To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Equipment Maintenance Supervisor located in Austin TX
Reporting to the Engineering Maintenance Manager, the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor role will involve coordinating activities of personnel engaged in the troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of manufacturing equipment to attain goals consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
Shift: 6:00am-6:00pm - Thur, Fri, Sat, every other Wed
What a typical day looks like:
- Coordinates daily department activities to maximize equipment utilization and support production needs and action
- Establishes preventative maintenance schedules.
- Coordinates maintenance activities with other functional groups such as engineering and operations. Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the departmental function.
- Reviews and establishes material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements.
- Administer safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees.
- Generates maintenance logs and other operations metrics.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Speak effectively before groups of employees, manufacturing support, and peers.
- Knowledge of functional concepts and a solid understanding of Flex policies and procedures.
- Use of various tools associated with the following areas may be required: Electronic Assembly, Cables, Testing, Machine Operations, Mechanical and Electrical Repair.
- Able to read, comprehend, and interpret complex instructions.
- Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Forecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent
- 3+ years related experience in a technology-based industry, where a mix of automated and manual assembly techniques is utilized.
- 3+ Management / Supervisory experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with manufacturing of medical devices or other highly regulated products
- Experience in supporting of high-speed assembly systems (>20ppm)
- Knowledge of automation systems and tools - robotic, vision, material handling, Conveyors, PLC, HMI, Pick-Place-Pack, Inspection/Test methods.
