Johnson & Johnson MedTech Orthopaedics is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Orthopaedic Account Strategy to drive commercial success and analytics-driven decision-making within our US Orthopaedics division. The position is based in West Chester, PA.

This leadership position focuses on strategic pricing, contracting, and customer engagement, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize sales performance and market share. You will lead a high-performing team to develop and implement innovative analytics solutions, enabling stronger customer partnerships and business growth. Utilization of third-party price benchmarking resources and inventory optimization tools are critical skills of a successful candidate. The candidate will have proven success in leading talented sales and commercial personnel, as well as a track record of successful customer engagements regarding complex data analyses.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Shape and drive sales growth and pricing strategy in alignment with annual business objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategies to protect and expand Johnson & Johnson’s market leadership in the orthopaedic space.
  • Shape and enhance analytics capabilities, integrating best practices across Sales, Account Management, and Offer Development teams.
  • Lead and mentor a team of senior managers, fostering a collaborative and high-impact culture.
  • Partner across cross-functional teams—including Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and HCC—to align business objectives.
  • Influence decision-making across the organization without direct authority, ensuring seamless execution of key initiatives.
  • Guide customer discussions around data analytics, financial insights, and account-specific performance metrics.
  • Contribute to the development of account-specific financial analyses
  • Ensure the organization is meeting customer needs and be a positive agent for change within the organization

Who You Are

You are a strategic thinker, an expert in successful orthopaedic sales and pricing strategies, and a passionate leader with deep experience in contracting strategies and financial modeling. You thrive in a data-driven environment, leading teams to extract actionable insights and create impactful customer solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years’ professional business experience, health care preferred
  • Minimum 10 years’ Orthopaedic commercial, sales or marketing experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ digital, data analysis, or contracting and pricing negotiating experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of direct reports
  • Proven strategic, financial and analytical capabilities are required
  • Demonstrated financial/accounting treatment expertise is required
  • Advanced Excel skills required; Mastery of the suite of MS Office programs required
