Truck Driver - Class A CDL - Decatur, AL

Turner Industries is looking for a CLASS A CDL Truck Driver to join our team at the Decatur Site. Must have a Class A CDL License! Responsible for safely delivering loads of Structural Steel, Tanks and Vessels and Scaffold Materials to job sites.

• Full Time
• Medical, Dental, Vision, & 401K.
• MUST BE WILLING TO WORK IN FABRICATION SHOP AS A GENERAL LABORER/LABORER WHEN NEEDED

No per diem or relocation is available for this position. Successful candidate will reside within 60-miles of Decatur, AL.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for ensuring that loads arrive safely and on schedule.
• Assist with loading and unloading truck.
• Complete a daily truck log.
• Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management.
• Comply with all DOT and Turner rules and regulations.
• During times not on the road, you will work with the shops assisting with daily activities.
• Operating forklift during truck loading and unloading with shop duties.

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Class A driver's license in good standing.
• Able to pass a DOT physical.
• No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years.
• No DWI/DUI in last 10 years.
• 2+ year's commercial driving experience required.
