Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center is located
approximately 30 miles from Charlotte. The facility employs just under 400+ full
time associates in a 5-shift operation, which encompasses 235,000 sq ft. along

activities, abrasives are now a big part of our power tool accessory business.

Job Description

This is a second shift position reporting to the Quality Manager.

Main duties of this role are described as follows but not limited to:  Provide QMM support for the location Value Streams (VS) and Quality Engineers.  Responsible to collect and input daily quality information (scrap counts, etc.), support QZ testing (material preparation and physical testing), perform metrology on production parts, assist with report preparation and document revisions and maintenance, collect gages due for calibration and monitor floor for damaged gages, support rework activities, support suspect material reviews, support training of QMM related topics to QMM and VS associates.  Support project documentation preparation for new projects.  Support TTM projects (documentation, sample review, etc.).  Assist with implementations of corrective actions and problem solving activities.  Preparation of VS Quality data, input for KPI reports, graphs, shop floor information, etc. (use of MS Excel, PP, etc.).

Qualifications 

• Preferred 3+ years of prior inspection or QA experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with a logical thought process and a meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to inspect product characteristics according to established inspection plans using drawings, specifications and artwork then determine the disposition of goods. 
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Prepare testing samples for quality of cut tests (handling foils, shingles, boards) that includes drilling, sizing and installing screws.
• Ability to use power tools (examples include; circular saws, reciprocating saws, band saw, routers, etc), cutting , lifting, etc. to perform critical cutting tests including end of life testing and abuse testing.
• Able to work on your feet throughout the shift.
• Experience reading blueprints and the use common measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, hardness testers, projectors as well as the ability to learn complex measurement devices. 
• Working knowledge with software such as MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc).  Experience with  ERP/MRP systems to perform inventory transactions, scanner gun operation, system inquiries, etc.   Experience in SAP a plus.
• High school graduate or equivalent from an accredited school
• Read and interpret technical drawings and product catalogs.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and email) with associates at all levels within the facility and overall organization.
• Ability to work independently - self starter.
• Familiar with ISO or similar quality system requirements.
• Use of QMM equipment (i.e.Zoeller, Comparators, micrometers, calipers, hardness testers, etc.).
