About the Department and Role
Child Development Center Site Director/Site SupervisorResponsibilities:
JobTrain is seeking a Site Director for our onsite Child Development Center in Menlo Park, CA. This is a key management position reporting directly to our Chief Programs Officer. This role may be filled at the Site Supervisor or Site Director level, depending upon the experience and background of the candidate hired.The CDC Site Director is responsible for all aspects of our Child Development Center. Our CDC Director will demonstrate expertise with CDC Staff, facilities, parents and children. We are seeking an experienced people manager, a professional who can guide and develop staff members and programs, someone who collaboratively explores and resolves issues, projects a friendly outward demeanor, and is a true compliance specialist. Our CDC Director will build and support our CDC in terms of staff and enrollment.
This full-time position requires working knowledge, skill, and ability to develop and follow licensing requirements (Title 22 and/or Title 5).
In addition, this position requires the ability to:
- Ensure compliance with Community Care Licensing and necessary documentation
- Research, analyze and propose program strategies that meet JobTrain and center objectives.
- Function as a thought leader in topics, developments and trends in Early Childhood Education
- Design new and revised approaches to program to assure equity, legal compliance and competitiveness.
- Provide guidance and develop staff in the use of age-appropriate program trends and tools.
- Ability to work pro-actively with JobTrain Administration demonstrating strong teamwork ability.
- Ability to lead diverse and equitable teams
- Ability to develop and manage budgets
- Support staff onboarding and ongoing staff development.
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and represent JobTrain in a positive manner at all times.

- Demonstrated significant knowledge of childcare programs and licensing requirements as would be obtained through the attainment of a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development or a related field.
- Must possess current Child Development Site Supervisor permit.
