Test Engineer Technician

Key Role:

Provide technical support for the assembly and testing of weapon systems. Construct developmental and production models and weapon assemblies. Review, analyze, and apply engineering, technical, or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or procedures for engineering assignments. Conduct tests and experiments following standard setups and procedures. Extract and compile data from field notes, technical manuals, lab reports, and bench tests. Consolidate information about operational failures and modifications. Follow defined methods of data presentation and prepare reports on results and recommendations. This position requires travel up to 50% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as an engineering technician

• Knowledge of shop safety, basic hand tools, powered hand tools, and basic inspection tools

• Ability to support weapon assemblies, including disassembly, reassembly, and restoration of equipment to operational readiness

• Ability to plan, conduct, and report on weapon system testing

• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a complex team environment

• Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
