River Region Psychiatry Associates is seeking a Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our growing team in Charleston, South Carolina. This full-time role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, compassionate care across the continuum, with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. The position includes a primary focus on adolescents in our dedicated 12-bed unit, with additional work involving adult and geriatric populations.

About the Facility:
Our 60-bed, free-standing behavioral health hospital offers a full spectrum of services, including Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). The facility is home to a Graduate Medical Education (GME) program, providing opportunities to mentor and teach future clinicians. We also offer Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) as part of our advanced treatment options.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
   
• Provide both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care in a team-oriented environment
   
• Supervise mid-level providers and contribute to interdisciplinary treatment teams
   
• Participate in the call rotation (1 weekend/month, including rounding)
   
• Ensure timely documentation and compliance with quality standards
   
• Engage in GME teaching activities and provide ECT treatments as appropriate
   

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
   
• Active South Carolina medical license (or eligibility)
   
• Experience working with adolescent populations in inpatient and outpatient settings
   
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
   

All final candidates will be subject to background and drug screening.

Requirements

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Education Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine – Board Certified / Board Eligible
• License Current valid South Carolina license, or ability to attain license, and a current and unrestricted DEA registration
