Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Senior Communications Specialist develops external and internal communication strategies for Consumer Panel Services GfK (CPS). The successful post holder crafts business-related stories that resonate across our organization and beyond.

The Senior Communications Specialist is able to develop creative ideas for packaging complex topics in interesting and innovative ways so that they are read, seen, and understood. As an inspiring colleague, the Senior Communications Specialist is very interested in new FMCG trends, market research developments and experienced in change management. The Senior Communications Specialist will work closely with the CEO as well as manage all planning and execution support for a variety of communication formats, including intranet articles, internal newsletter, press releases or occasional live events.

You will:

• Own and drive the external and internal communication strategies for CPS
• Bring your plans to life through clear, consistent and compelling multi-channel external communications campaigns and activities
• Research, create and publish exciting, relevant and impactful internal content, news updates and stories CPS' company's channels including our intranet, internal newsletter or press releases
• Create communication concepts on topics such as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Sustainability
• Support the planning and execution of communication formats including live events (such as townhalls)
• Measure success: monitor and report on KPIs
• Work directly with the executive management team and other stakeholders across the business to ensure streamlined communication, and support the transition into new business ownership

You Have:

• A strong background in creating, leading and delivering impactful external communications strategies, plans and campaigns aligned to the business and communications strategy
• An open minded, creative, and flexible attitude
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading capabilities
• A networker gene and intuitive understanding of how to best set monitor and measure internal and external communications activities with a view to continually improving deliveries
• Sound and demonstrable knowledge of external communication and change communication
• Minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience in journalism, internal/external communications or communications consulting
• Experience in change management
• Storytelling expertise and/or experience in creating communication concepts
• Ability to self-lead and operate in complex environments (dealing with ambiguity, problem solving & decision quality)
• Experience in working in interdisciplinary teams and project management
• Fluent in both written and spoken Italian & English
• Some international travel may be required
