Under the supervision of the Manager-Technical & Process Improvements, Power Systems, the Project Analyst will support the Aftermarket Parts Department to maintain desired level of orders/shipments goals, problem/solution issues related to part interpretation, spec identification and technical/applications inquiries.  A high degree of technical aptitude and in-depth computer skills are required to manage the volume.  This position significantly affects customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Parts interpretation. Aftermarket Parts interpretation and research for internal inquiries from Sales Coordinators or other sales channels. Create, design, deploy, and maintain a recommended process to effectively and in a timely manner, produce recommended parts, part numbers and kits.

  • Advanced parts research. Research application, engineering, and technical data to provide replacement part numbers when inquiry comes from Sales Coordinators and customers.

  • Engineering and technical data include bills of material, microfiche, engineering drawings, legacy business system, SAP, electronic parts catalog, and printed parts catalogs.

  • Parts expertise and know-How. Represent Aftermarket Parts at team meetings for specific projects and ad-hoc requests from upper management and other teams.

  • Create conversion quotes. Compare bills of material, work with product engineers/vendors and refer to the kit matrix to determine correct part numbers and drawings needed to convert a unit from one application to another.

  • Continuous Improvement. Prepare and maintain Aftermarket Parts policies and practices. Work with design and process engineers to create products and processes that incorporate Aftermarket parts needs in the design.

  • Service kits. Create and maintain service level kits for all product lines.

  • Parts catalogs. Works with marketing, technical publications, and other related teams to continuously audit parts for accuracy.

  • Maintain performance metrics.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree is preferred.

  • 3+ years’ experience in global manufacturing related to aftermarket parts.

  • 3+ years' experience in power generation/engines

  • Must be proactive, inquisitive, analytical, a good communicator and team collaborator

  • Results oriented, detail oriented, and strong organizational skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Wind-chill PLM, and SAP.

The Salary range for this position is $66,300.00-$83,500.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
