Job Description

 

It’s an exciting time to be part of IFF! We are looking for a Sr. Regulatory Specialist to provide regulatory affairs expertise and compliance advice & support for IFF Flavor division and its customers’ end markets. In this role, you’ll provide formula reviews for internal and external clients, assist in developing best practices and procedures to improve the review of, and document generation for, IFF’s flavor products. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

This role provides regulatory guidance on a wide range of technical compliance issues. It advises the creative, application and commercial departments on the safe use and regulatory compliance of finished formulas – including the regulatory compliance reviews and preparation of documents supporting the safety and suitability of these formulas. 

 

• Review flavor formulas for compliance with applicable regulations, customer requirements and regulatory and industry guidelines. 
• Provide documentation to IFF’s NA customer base (internal & external), both for products sold in domestic and international arena, in an accurate, timely and efficient manner. 
• Coordinate reviewing of methodologies and best practices with colleagues worldwide. Establish protocols for key regulatory procedures, enhancements to the regulatory database and other IT tools.  

Job Requirements

 

• Bachelor’s Degree in food science, chemistry, biosciences or related disciplines 
• Bachelor’s degree plus 9 years of experience, Master’s degree plus 6 years of experience. 
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload to meet multiple deadlines. 
• Good Project Management, problem solving and decision-making skills. 
• Proficient in the use of computers and possess a working knowledge of associated office software packages (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Sound experience of computer information systems is also essential, although training will be provided on IFF-developed systems and tools. 

 

Preferred: 

 

• Experience in the aroma chemicals or food industry would be a distinct advantage. Candidates with suitable experience in the pharmaceutical or cosmetics industries or similar fields would be considered.
