We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Backend Developer to join our dynamic team developing a world class semiconductor software platform on the web. You will be embedded in a collaborative software development team that is following the Scrum agile development process. Through daily engagement with the other developers and the QA team, you will play a critical role in helping us deliver quality software focusing more on the backend side of the platform. Your title and salary will be commensurate with your education and experience. 
 

Job Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to the software architecture utilizing optimal design patterns and best practices 
• Design and develop backend APIs using Python and/or NodeJS based API frameworks 
• Develop clean, scalable, maintainable and testable application code 
• Implement robust database connections and transform data between the application and the database 
• Implement unit, integration and e2e tests 

Other Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• BS or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar discipline 
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience 
• Strong proficiency with Python and data manipulation libraries like Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, plotly 
• Proficiency with RESTful APIs 
• Proficiency with NoSQL and SQL databases 
• Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines 
• Team oriented personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
• This position is in Waltham, MA and you are expected to work at least 3 days a week from the office. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in NodeJS API frameworks like Express and NestJS 
• Experience with client-side TypeScript and Angular 
• Experience with container technologies like Docker
