COP Facilities Material Handler

Major Job Duties:

 

 

• Daily conference room set-ups throughout complex
• Special Event set-ups as requested by Client
• Prepare for all Town Hall Meetings as requested by Client
• Deliver boxes, water, etc.
• Prepare and palletize E-waste for pickup
• When required assist carpenters to hang pictures and white board/dry erase boards
• Utilize STA’s for all work tasks; attend any and all client meetings, mass safety meetings and weekly toolbox safety discussions as well
• Performs other essential functions which may be assigned by Client or Supervisor.  Management shall have the right to add or change duties at any time.

 

 

INSIDE/OUTSIDE CONTACT AND TYPE OF INTERACTION:

Primary interaction with Client, Move Staff, Supervisor, Site Lead, and Project Manager

Must have Excellent Communication Skills and be Presentable in a Corporate Environment

 

EQUIPMENT TYPICALLY USED:

Small hand tools, ladders, book/machine carts, dollies, panel carts, flat beds, gondolas, lifting equipment, furniture pads, safety signage, bubble wrap, shrink wrap, computer bags, monitor bags, tension /ratchet straps, lift gates, PPE, and operating various move vehicles.

 

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING/HAZARDS:

The job requires adequate visual acuity to read printed material and technical specifications.  Listening and speaking ability to communicate in person and/or via telephone; mental ability to comprehend and understand specific requests, enforce building policies/procedures, and manage time to meet all demands.

 

Reads and interprets written or printed material such as emergency and security systems equipment specifications and procedural manuals.  Work is performed inside or outside.  Physical activity requires lifting of objects weighing up to 100 lbs., walking, bending, stooping, squatting, standing, and sitting.
