Long-term, hands-on experience in residential/commercial services is a must!

For this role, we are particularly looking for experience related to mechanical services. If you are familiar with garage doors, elevators/lift systems, water treatment, safety and similar home services this role is for you!

Flexible scheduling — this position requires a minimum of 4 hours of remote availability per week.

Responsibilities

As an experienced professional in your field, you’ll get to review a variety of interesting content projects to verify industry accuracy. You will:

Review content for correctness. Is the information in a project true for your industry?

Identify sections or points in copy that need clarification. Can a concept be better explained, and how?

Recommend and suggest changes that our top-notch team of writers and editors can implement within projects. What needs to change, and how, to ensure content is educational and factually accurate?

You know the hard work that goes into the trades and the entirety of building or updating a structure. You’ve spent years in the field in management or hands-on roles related to roofing, flooring or building, so you have both the training and certifications required for these fields and the firsthand knowledge of the effort, attention to detail, tools, materials and other resources it takes to make a project succeed. You find yourself naturally drawn to opportunities to act as a mentor or educate others in your area of expertise, even if your work never required you to do so formally. You can explain complex topics to others, knowing when to use wording a layperson would understand and when to rely on technical terms specific to industry experts.
