Senior Data Scientist/Engineer

The Data Engineer within the Data Services team will research and design features and analyze that help DTCC clients create and manage portfolios and risk better, improve operation efficiency and market function. An ideal candidate would have knowledge of capital markets, quantitative finance and AI/ML, and computer science. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Use DTCC data to create features and analytics for DTCC Data Services clients to construct portfolios, manage risk and improve operational and execution efficiencies; help regulators identify systemic risks; while advancing innovative approaches and method that allow for greater transparency across markets; 
• Continuously seek internal and external client feedback to ensure all partners are advised of what is needed to deliver a product to market and ensure innovation 
• Collaborate with other researchers, commercial product managers covering each asset class to define client use cases / needs with the goal of developing a future roadmap and portfolio of analytics data products
• Collaborate with data stewards, data wranglers and data science professionals through the quantitative research life cycle from data discovery to model development and maintenance for a portfolio of sophisticated analytical data products
• Determine quarterly objective key results that will drive product strategy forward and meet overall business objective prioritizing opportunities to produce maximum customer and business value

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of related experience 
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

• Experience with SQL (Snowflake preferred)
• Strong Data Analytics and Statistical Knowledge
• Experience or Education in Machine Learning 
• Strong knowledge of python and ML-related frameworks
• Experience in Data Visualization
• Knowledge of capital markets preferred.
• Excellent Communication skills – able to communicate technical information to non-technical team members
