Director - Customer Analytics & Economics
Expedia Group is seeking a dynamic, motivated leader to join the Expedia Brands team as a Director within our Marketing Analytics Organization.

In this role, you will lead our customer analytics team. You and your team will provide powerful insights that will shape our understanding of our customers, their economics and how we make investments to improve customer lifetime value, both at the individual level and across the overall Expedia Group portfolio (EG). As a director, you will own and define the customer analytics roadmap and work closely with business stakeholder and other analytics teams to develop and implement solutions to optimize our investments and improve profitability. You will lead and coach a diverse team of advanced analysts, analytics managers and business analysts who partner with business owners to deliver insights and decisions that benefit the organization.
What you'll do:
You will lead a team of ~8 analysts to deliver against a broad range of projects
Apply advanced analytical and modeling techniques to understand how different actions and investments influence customer lifetime value
Define who our high-value customers are, how they shop and engage with our brands and provide insights to stakeholders on how they can improve the quality of customers acquired
Measure and provide insights and solutions into how to maximize customer life-time value
Create a customer performance forum where you readout on customer KPIs and provide insights and recommendations to improve results
Support business teams in evaluating where to make investments to optimize customer returns
Who you are:
10+ years’ experience in a similar analytical role; tech/travel industry preferred
Experience directly managing a team or demonstrated leadership skills in a senior-level role
Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and strong commercial acumen
Innovative and strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to solutions; prior experiences tackling vague problems, crisply framing the challenges, identifying a path forward
Demonstrated project and partner management skills, working with multiple teams across several countries
Skilled in engaging with stakeholders across all levels, including VPs/SVPs, and communicating complex concepts concisely and clearly
Brings extensive experience and strategic thought leadership to contribute insights and decisions beneficial to the organization
Picks analytically valid approaches, appropriate in terms of level of effort, favoring iterative delivery that solve for the objective, not the ask (i.e. not just order-taking)
Uses advanced and sophisticated understanding of the business problem space to inform the design of the solution

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $221,000 to $309,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $353,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
