Job Description
Purpose
The Manager, Security Operations, is the main point of contact for security matters at the AbbVie's site in Irvine, CA and is responsible for overseeing and implementing the site security program to ensure the safety and protection of personnel, property, and assets. In applicable locations, this role includes ensuring compliance with federal regulatory requirements outlined by the Division of Select Agents and Toxins (DSAT).
Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage relationships with security vendors, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) is met.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the site physical security program to protect company assets, including access control, surveillance systems, and emergency response procedures.
- Coordinate training drills and simulations Tabletop exercises (TTXs) to ensure all personnel and CAT members are prepared for various emergency situations.
- Liaise with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other relevant agencies to foster effective communication and collaboration.
- Prepare for and support inspections by agencies such as DHS, FDA, CDC, FBI, or foreign regulatory bodies. Ensure all security measures and documentation are up-to-date and comply with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with site leadership and stakeholders to create and maintain a comprehensive business continuity plan that ensures minimal disruption during emergencies or significant incidents.
