Lutheran Hospital, a member of the Lutheran Health Network in Fort Wayne, IN,has an opportunity for aPhysician Assistantwith the Cardiothoracic Surgery program. PA will have maximum exposure to difficult cases and work in the full continuum of cardiac care with a dynamic team! Requires licensure as PA with prescriptive authority. Prefer CT Surgery experience but will consider highly motivated new grads.

Details of Position:

• First assist - Endoscopic vein harvesting
• Complex cardiac , thoracic and vascular surgeries
• Full spectrum of cardiac surgery care - pre op and post op care
• Manage post-op patient, including arrhythmias, fluid balance and other conditions and treat as appropriate in collaboration with surgeon
• Monitor, consult and act as liaison between surgeon, patient, family and staff
• Collaborative team of cardiac surgeons and advanced practice providers
