Dura-Line Plant Manager onsite in Gainesville, TX
We are essential to our communities. To deliver on our products and solutions commitment to our national customers, we need a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to lead manufacturing operations in our 24/7 production facility in Gainesville, TX
What You’ll do:

You will also assess risk management when you must make challenging decisions and hold employees and managers accountable.
- Decisive leader with a clear understanding of effective manufacturing practices in the areas of safety, quality, cost, productivity, and delivery.
- Oversee the overall plant production and day-to-day operations, managing budgets, CAPEX (capital expenses), and reports.
- Lead continuous improvements and lean initiatives, promote employee engagement, foster an inclusive culture, and have transparent communication with the team on goals and objectives.
- Create and/or realign systems in response to changing business needs and understand that a change in one process can have a dramatic and unintended impact across the whole organization. They are adept at using these interdependencies to synergistic advantage.
- Create and maintain functional work units by understanding the human dynamics of team formation and maintenance. Build an effective workgroup, recruit new hires, succession planning, counseling/coaching/termination conversations, and develop clear goals (must provide the level of guidance and management appropriate to the circumstances & reward team behavior to foster a team atmosphere in the workplace.
- Plan and make decisions within the framework of the enterprise’s strategic intent while also understanding the factors influencing strategy.
What You’ll need:
- We need a trailblazer that has managed major projects like 5S initiatives, can foster a lean culture, actively listens to employees’ suggestions, and can turn them into action.
- If you are results-driven, have extensive experience in plant manufacturing systems (a Continuous or batch manufacturing is ideal), consider yourself a team player that can enable and build people’s capabilities, and have a strong track of leading continuous improvement and lean initiatives, this role is for you!
- 10+ years' experience in managing manufacturing processes regarding Quality, Sustainability, and Safety.
- The ideal candidate will have a certain professional acumen, being able to manage sales colleagues and customers as well as folks on the floor.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or equivalent work experience preferred. Extensive and proven experience in Lean Manufacturing with a strong track record of leading in a continuous improvement environment.
- Actively seek information from various sources and disseminate it in many ways. Develop and maintain effective relationships using modern technologies & communication channels to circulate information & hold team accountable on their deliverables.
- Evaluate current state and define/set strategies, processes, and be able to drive change, set standards, understand business concepts that govern these systems and interfaces.
- Able to develop and maintain long-term plans, measure progress toward them and communicate strategy to team members (provide vision & drive results).
