Position OverviewWe are seeking a Legal Assistant with exceptional administrative and organizational skills to support a busy attorney in our Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is an in-office position working Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the attorney’s calendar, including court dates, client meetings, and deadlines.
- Coordinate scheduling with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and internal staff.
- Draft, format, and proofread correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- File legal documents with courts (both electronically and in person, as needed).
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and mail, ensuring timely follow-up.
- Organize and maintain case files in physical and electronic formats.
- Assist with client intake, communication, and billing.
- Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Provide general administrative support to the attorney and legal team.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of legal assistant or administrative experience (law firm experience required).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Positive, professional demeanor and a team-oriented attitude.
