Description:

This position is responsible for assisting and assigning work to other mechanics to diagnose issues, adjust, repair, and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks:

This position requires a current valid State driver’s license.  Must supply own tools for minimum maintenance.  Must be able to use basic electrical, pneumatic and hand tools. May perform air brake, electrical and air conditioning work.  Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 20 feet, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors.  Must be able to read and understand assignments.  Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing.  Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.  If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview.

Requires: Basic Mechanical or Maintenance Skills, Knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics & plumbing. 1 year or more experience in welding and industrial maintenance.
