The Testing Center Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of the school’s
testing center to ensure a secure, supportive, and distraction-limited environment for
students requiring academic accommodations, make-up exams, placement assessments,
and other non-classroom testing situations. The Coordinator works closely with the Learning
Center to implement student accommodations and supports with the administration of
standardized tests throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities
Testing Center Operations
- Manage and maintain an up-to-date schedule for the testing center
- Prepare the testing space to meet distraction-limited accommodation standards
- Supervise and monitor students during individual and group testing sessions to
uphold academic integrity
- Enforce and model clear rules and procedures for student conduct in a testing
environment
- Accurately maintain records of all tests administered and student usage of the
testing center
- Communicate testing logistics and expectations to students, parents, faculty, and
staff
- Instruct students on proper use of testing materials and resources within the center
- Utilize and adapt to relevant educational technologies that support testing
accommodations
Collaboration & Communication
- Work in collaboration with the Learning Center to implement and track student
accommodations
- Maintain ongoing communication with teachers regarding testing instructions and
special requirements
- Coordinate with Counseling Services to support the administration of standardized
assessments (e.g., PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP, MAP), including test setup, proctoring, room
assignments, and secure storage of materials
- Provide occasional support to the school library
Administrative Support for Middle and Upper School
- Assist with organizing and maintaining academic records and documentation related
to student testing accommodations
- Support the Middle and Upper School administrative teams with tasks such as data
entry, student scheduling, or communications related to testing and academic
support
Qualifications
- Experience working with middle and high school students in an academic setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and reliably with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfort and confidence managing student behavior in a structured environment
- Proficient in the use of educational and administrative technologies
Compensation Range
$22 per hour - $27 per hour based upon, but not limited to, several factors that include type and years of experience, education level, and expertise.
