NHS U.S., LLC. seeks R&D Senior Manager Engineering (multiple positions) in Leonia, NJ
Duties: Manage a team responsible for the introduction of new products and processes by providing engineering and manufacturing process expertise from ideation to industrialization. Manage the introduction of new processes and technologies that support innovation and reduce Total Delivered Cost in operations. Drive the development of technologies that promote agility, flexibility and productivity in factories. Drive development of sustainable manufacturing solutions for factories. Support product developers on defining processing steps and parameters for the technical trials and product industrialization. Lead CAPEX and process innovation projects and manage process innovation project planning and execution. Collaborate with the other project team members to improve efficiency and strengthen competencies. Effectively communicate project status and results through written technical documentation and oral presentations. Provide recommendations for process improvements to the relevant stakeholders. Make decisions on engineering design questions. Lead or assist in line validations of company or co-manufacturing factories worldwide. Review and approve the development or update of machinery and manufacturing standards. Up to 20% domestic and international travel required for business meetings. Telework permitted up to 2 days per week.
Salary: $171500 - $181500 per year
Requirements:
Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Food Technology, Food Processing, Engineering, or a closely related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or in process engineering within the food manufacturing industry. Required experience must include each of the following: 5 years of experience in Liquids and powder processing unit operations and equipment in a food and beverage manufacturing facility; 5 years of experience in incorporating safety standards into food manufacturing process designs and food manufacturing equipment designs; 5 years of experience in Food and Beverage processing line installation and commissioning; 5 years of experience in Management of engineers or external contractors;
5 years of experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft project; 5 years of experience in Capital Project Management, stakeholder management, and communication management with business units; 5 years of experience in Validation of line and process equipment including IQ, OQ, and PQ for Food and Beverage application; 5 years of experience in Preparing detailed engineering specifications for process equipment as a basis for procurement; 3 years of experience in technology, regulatory, quality, and safety requirements for Foods for Special Medical Purpose (“FSMP”) products; 3 years of experience in the design of Thermal Processing of Low Acid Canned Foods; and 3 years of experience in designing manufacturing innovation strategies. Domestic and international travel required up to 20% of time for business meetings. Telework permitted up to 2 days per week.
