The Opportunity
Procter & Gamble is seeking a Virtual Desktop Engineer to support engineering work associated with Citrix-based VDI solution, hosted in Azure. As a Virtual Desktop Engineer, you will have the opportunity to join a take ownership and provide leadership related to virtualization efforts. Position Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Citrix-based VDI solutions, including architecting VDI infrastructure components such as Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Gateway, leveraging both Azure and Edge infrastructures.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to conduct capacity planning exercises to ensure VDI resources are appropriately sized to meet business requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to VDI architecture, ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide VDI architecture solutions that meet those needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of VDI architectural designs, configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in the setup of monitoring tools to proactively monitor VDI architecture, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements.
- Contribute to VDI security measures and best practices, ensuring that architecture adheres to security policies.
- Keep up to date with the latest industry trends and certifications related to virtual desktop infrastructure and cloud/edge technologies and provide recommendations on product enhancements based on those trends.

Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Software Engineering, other STEM field or 5+ years relevant years of experience/education
- Basic understanding of virtualization concepts and Azure ecosystem/tools
- 3+ years direct experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructures, preferably Citrix
- Knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops architecture, including understanding of Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, and Citrix Gateway.
- Familiarity with Cloud and Edge infrastructure components, including data center architecture and network connectivity.
- Familiarity with Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Hybrid work schedule, reporting to Cincinnati, OH location. Three in office days/week
Preferred:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Citrix Certified Associate, ITIL 4)
- Capacity planning skills to determine hardware and software requirements for VDI deployments.
- Familiarity with Powershell and AD Group Policies
Pay Range: $110k-$132k
Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience.
