Senior Procurement Manager – Professional Services
As the Senior Procurement Manager for the Professional and Legal Services Team you will represent GSK and act as the interface for Strategic Consultants and our business ensuring the scope and commercials fit the profile of the business needs and strategic direction.
This role represents a great opportunity to build strong relationships with a variety of diverse and senior stakeholders globally across all parts of GSK. You will need to build and maintain relationships to understand the company’s overall objectives and then advise how procurement can help achieve these goals.
This may include ambitious cost savings, managing risk and/or ensuring that the right suppliers are being chosen and/or if a third party is required or whether there are alternative solutions such as in-house or outsourcing approaches.
In this role you will…
- Manage the end to end process to develop category sourcing approach and drive value generation across categories within Professional Services
- Execute global sourcing strategies across multiple spend categories in scope of responsibility, operating with a truly global mindset and ensuring all applicable markets or regional dimensions are accommodated
- Drive synergies where appropriate with other Corporate services categories
- Contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation and maintenance; conducts and monitors negotiations across the applicable categories of spend
- Knows the sourcing group management process and policies; assesses risk
- Awareness and adherence to risk/ regulatory/ compliance requirements
- Develop & execute supplier relationship management
- Implements procurement strategies to maximise supplier leverage in a complex matrix organisation

- Qualified to Degree level, ideally within Procurement and Supply Chain, and/or further academic qualifications
- End to End global category experience from strategy development to execution on indirect spend
- Ability to build strong relationships with a variety of diverse and senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills & leadership capability to manage people and processes
- Innovative thinking to drive changes and process improvements
- Ability to work in a complex and multi-cultural environment
- Excellent business acumen, analytical, and financial skills
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Strong presentation skills
- Extensive experience working with large global suppliers/consultants
- Previous marketing or indirect category experience
