EquipmentShare is searching for a Regional Telematics Manager to join our team in the South/Gulf Region, covering Texas and Louisiana

EquipmentShare is seeking a Regional Telematics Manager to oversee and enhance telematics device health for both customer and company owned fleet, ensure productivity, manage personnel, maintain installation quality, and contribute to strategic planning for efficient telematics installations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor and enhance the health of telematics devices and reporting, both regionally and nationwide, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Ensures productivity, organization, and timely completion of tasks in alignment with department and company objectives.
  • Collaborate with the service team to establish best practices and streamlined workflows for efficient telematics installations.
  • Oversee installation quality, ensuring adherence to high standards and compliance with installation guides.
  • Effectively manage personnel across a wide geographical area through training, coaching, disciplinary actions, positive reinforcement, and conducting yard visits as required.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of new employees, aligning with departmental goals and ensuring a skilled and capable workforce.
  • Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the region, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Identify and resolve issues that impede or delay telematics installations, implementing effective solutions to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Ensures strict adherence to policies, guidelines, and safety standards throughout the installation process.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and the development of the installation team, aligning efforts with long-term goals and objectives.
  • Serve as an advocate for the EquipmentShare platform of solutions and brand while on the job and in the field.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must be open to traveling when and where needed for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of Telematics Installers, providing guidance and support to achieve targets and goals.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and proficiency in managing projects, including assigning tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and higher management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve issues related to installations, team performance, and project roadblocks.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, technologies, and industry trends, ensuring seamless integration of new processes and systems.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities to analyze data, evaluate performance metrics, and make informed decisions for process improvements.
  • Able to work with people of all backgrounds and experiences. Collaborates effectively with other teams and department managers. 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Exemplary performance as Telematics Installer
  • Solid understanding of telematics systems, installations, and related technologies to effectively oversee and troubleshoot installation processes.
