Position Summary
The Salvation Army Northern Division Fargo Corps is committed to “Doing the Most Good” by providing holistic, person-centered services to individuals and families in need. These services include worship services and pastoral care; short- and long-term case management; food, clothing, utility, rent, and housing support; and connections to community partners.
The annual Red Kettle Campaign runs through the holiday season and raises essential funds for the organization's programs. During this time, thousands of bell ringers collect donations at red kettles placed on street corners and in front of stores.
The Christmas Support Staff is a seasonal position that assists with Christmas programs and performs daily office administrative tasks.
35 hours/week, Oct. 6, 2025 – Jan. 6, 2026
$14/hour, Monday – Saturday; schedule varies

Essential Functions (approximate time spent)
- Support Christmas Programs (50%): Assist with various Christmas initiatives such as Angel Tree, Coats for Kids, Christmas Kettle Campaign, interviewing clients for Christmas applications, and managing toy donations.
- Office Administration (50%): Perform daily office tasks, including answering phones, filing, typing, and operating office equipment.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must pass background checks.
- Valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements preferred.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with PC, Microsoft Office, databases, and standard office equipment.
Working Conditions
- Mostly sedentary work, sitting for long periods and working on a computer.
- Professional environment; not eligible for a remote-friendly work environment.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with colleagues, the public, and participants.
- Standard business hours with occasional evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds occasionally
Supervisory Responsibilities
None.
Travel Requirements
May occasionally drive agency vehicle locally to support the mission if MVR check cleared.
