This position can be home-based/remote anywhere within the United States.

Responsibilities
The Senior Compensation Analyst will be critical in developing, implementing, and leading compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of compensation practices and trends. The Senior Compensation Analyst will work closely with HR, HRIS, and leadership teams to ensure our compensation strategies align with business objectives and market competitiveness. This role offers flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the USA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, evaluate, and implement compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and Job Architecture.
- Conduct job analysis, ensure proper career level, and perform market benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation practices.
- Evaluate new job requests to identify alignment with existing jobs or resolve need for new jobs, including a review of existing structure and a market analysis and determination of FLSA status.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to HR and management on compensation-related matters.
- Partner with HRIS to lead and manage the annual compensation review cycle.
- Participate in compensation surveys and analyze survey data to model and recommend salary structure modifications.
- Compile National and local cost of labor, analyze and make recommendations for geographical differentials.
- Advise HR and senior leaders on Job Architecture and Career Leveling and maintain the Job Library.
- Develop and maintain compensation policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Analyze compensation data and prepare reports for senior management.
- Participate in Incentive Plan design and administration.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in compensation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five (5) - Seven (7) years of experience in compensation analysis or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Advanced to expert user of Microsoft 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Teams).
- Proficiency in the administration of compensation analysis tools and software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Solid understanding of pay equity and transparency regulations.
- Minimum travel required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Workday, CompAnalyst (or similar such as MarketPay, Payfactors).
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Alteryx, Tableau and/or PowerBI.
- Experience with Incentive Platforms and management.
- Experience with International Compensation.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary minimum to the midpoint of the range is $86,000.00 to $112,000.00 Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
