Job Summary

The System Robotics Program Manager assists in the strategic planning, fiscal planning, prioritization and execution of projects tied directly to the strategic business objectives, advancement of personalized patient care and faculty and staff education around our operative robotic service line.  Leads the development and start up of new robotic specialty areas within NGHS.  Collaborates with patient care departments/areas related directly, or indirectly, to patient care and robotic services. Integrates, communicates and manages all activities of the Robotic service line for NGHS.  Project management and delivery of enterprise initiatives such as operating room efficiency and surgical devices/equipment.  Participates in business development and marketing to strengthen and grow the NGHS Robotics program.  Develops and manages ongoing educational programs to support a growing robotics program. Responsible for development and growth in the Surgical Services Center of Excellence (COE) Programs. Ensures compliance of all Center of Excellence programs through data submissions, education and survey activities. Leads the Robotic Steering committee and Center of Excellence Committee ensuring participation of physicians, staff and educators. Manages and distributes data, assesses quality reports and develops action plans/proposals for improvement. Partners with physicians, Perioperative leaders, Educators and team to implement process improvement plans and monitor outcomes. The manager will monitor for trends to ensure timely intervention and use evidence based practice to facilitate improved outcomes. Develop strong collaborative relationships with physicians and office staff to increase accurate patient referrals, provide exceptional customer care to patients, and identify issues and concerns in the referral process to determine best practices. Oversees certification of surgeons as Surgeons of Excellence. Assists with accreditation of additional service lines as the Center of Excellence grows. Assists in the advancement of the professional practice environment by communicating the NGMC nursing strategic direction and focusing on activities that support the nursing strategic direction. Assists with overall professional nursing practice and other projects as assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Licensure or other certifications: Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.  Professional certification in either a clinical or education specialty within (2) years. 

  • Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree

  • Minimum Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years in a relevant field.  

  • Other: Professional organization membership within three months of hire into the role.

  • Ensures confidentiality and follows HIPAA, DNV, OSHA and other health regulations. 

  • In depth knowledge of surgical care processes, standards of care, regulatory requirements, healthcare organizational structure and medical staff structure is required. 

  • Must have critical thinking skills, be able to problem solve independently, and work well in a team environment.
