Senior Director of Business Development

Summary and Objective   

The Senior Director of Business Development will be responsible for the procurement and management of aircraft for flyExclusive. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the aviation industry and experience in aircraft procurement and wholesale sales.  

Essential functions

• Identify and evaluate aircraft for charter, taking into consideration the trip's budget, operational requirements, and market conditions.  

• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with aircraft operators and brokers.  

• Work with executive management and finance departments to review and approve contracts, and other agreements related to aircraft charter.    

• Coordinate with flight operations to ensure the timely delivery of aircraft, as well as compliance with trip requirements.  

• Conduct market research and analysis to stay up to date on industry trends, prices, and availability of aircraft.  

• Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with aircraft operators and brokers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of aircraft and drive network sales.    

• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of aircraft procurement and operator/broker accounts.    

Skills and Abilities  

Aviation Industry Expertise :  

• In-depth knowledge of the aviation industry, including charter operations, aircraft types, and market trends.  

• Understanding of FAA regulations and compliance requirements.  

Aircraft Procurement and Sales :  

• Proven experience in aircraft procurement, sales, and contract negotiation.  

• Ability to identify and evaluate aircraft for charter, considering budget, operational requirements, and market conditions.  

Negotiation and Contract Management :  

• Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing, contracts, and terms with aircraft operators and brokers.  

• Proficiency in reviewing and approving contracts and agreements in collaboration with executive management and finance departments.  

Operational Coordination :  

• Effective coordination with flight operations to ensure timely delivery and compliance with trip requirements.  

• Ability to manage logistics and operational details for aircraft charters.  

Market Research and Analysis:  

• Capability to conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, prices, and aircraft availability.  

• Strategic thinking to anticipate market changes and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.  

Relationship Management :  

• Strong interpersonal skills to develop, maintain, and grow relationships with aircraft operators and brokers.  

• Ability to build a reliable and cost-effective supply network and drive network sales.  

Communication and Reporting :  

• Excellent communication skills to provide regular updates and reports to senior management on aircraft procurement status and operator/broker accounts.  

• Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.
