How you’ll make an impact
This role is responsible for partnering with the US Marketing and Sales teams to bring Xero strategies to life through Xero-hosted and Xero-sponsored events. This role connects global events strategy, regional marketing and sales strategy and delivers experiences that amplify those strategies. This role is part of the US marketing team, and will be responsible for the delivery of Xero US events. Working in consultation with project owners in the marketing teams, sales teams, and other cross functional teams, you will act as a consultant to help develop plans and own the execution of events to a pre-agreed budget and brief.
While the role is primarily focused on the US market, you may be required to support the wider, global operation as needed.

What you’ll do
- Plan and execute Xero US events in partnership with US marketing and sales leads as well as other event stakeholders
- Work with the US marketing teams to develop briefs and establish required budgets to deliver high quality events that meet the broader business objectives
- Ability to provide administrative event support relating to event registration, payments, and task management
- Build and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders in a respectful and collaborative manner
- Become an active custodian of the Xero brand across all events and ensure the brand guidelines are followed during project delivery - especially when working with third party production companies
- Collaborate with stakeholders on delivery of Xero hosted events Xero Roadshows and Xero third party sponsored events.
- Work with peers in other geographies and time zones to ensure alignment and share best practices
- Ensure all events meet deadlines and quality standards
Success looks like
- Coordinate well-produced events that elevate Xero’s brand
- Meeting or exceeding US event KPIs
- Communicate project status updates to all stakeholders and run regular progress updates with the broader project team
- Management of external vendors such as production companies, AV vendors, venues, etc.
- Ability to provide administrative event support relating to event registration, payments, vendor contracts, and task management
- Collaborate and contribute to the briefing process, and the creative ideation sessions that help develop concepts through to approval from the project owners
- Meeting the Xero pace, which is rapid, ambitious and results-focused
- Ability to collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones

- Proven ability to drive and manage projects to budget and deadline
- Ability to adapt and pivot quickly on decisions surrounding projects
- Experience:
- 3+ years of event management experience
- SaaS industry knowledge
- Understanding of CRM systems, event registration platforms and technologies
- Broad range of project management experience from one-off projects to longer-term strategic projects
