$21+ per hour

 

Join our growing team at Dart Container, a global leader in the production of high-quality foodservice packaging solutions. As a Warehouse Associate, you will perform warehouse operations including one or more of the following: shipping, receiving, material handling, inventory control, cycle counting, or purchasing. 

 

Shift Availability: 

  • 7:30am - 4:00pm

What you’ll do:   

  • Coordinate and schedule work for dock management, routing and sequencing of trailers or rail freight
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory control responsibilities
  • Prepare, process and distribute shipment documentation for all inbound and outbound services
  • Liaise with internal and external transport companies and departments to coordinate, prioritize and expedite in-coming and out-going shipments
  • Track and maintain appropriate documentation
  • Create, compile, and deliver required reports
  • Record, control, and monitor information in ERP or other computer systems 
  • Load or unload freight or product manually or via forklift, lift truck or pallet jack
  • Move materials to appropriate storage space
  • Prepare and pack goods for shipment
  • Verify, compare, and confirm type and quality of shipped or received goods against Bill of Lading, invoices, or pick tickets
  • Weigh, count, and inspect the state of incoming and outgoing products
  • Report and record any discrepancy, damaged items, shortages, broken or unidentified packages to the supervisor
  • Assist in training new employees on warehouse procedures

 

What you’ll need... 

  • One (1) year prior warehouse or material handling experience, heavily preferred 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) license
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to demonstrate basic math calculations and dimensional counting skills
  • Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
