SUMMARY
The role of the Facilities Maintenance Specialist at CLEARFORK ACADEMY is to assist the Facilities Manager in maintaining the
buildings and grounds of Clearfork Academy's 30+ acres. Responsible for assisting with the upkeep of equipment and supplies,
properly managing supply inventory, operating landscaping equipment, and general handyman work. The General Laborer ensures
the buildings and grounds are maintained, which includes determining and scheduling repairs, renovation projects, waste reduction
improvements and safety inspections. Clearfork Academy is an adolescent rehabilitation residential center for boys ages 13 to 17
who struggle with substance abuse addiction.

Age of Patient Population Served: Adolescent and Young Adult Males
Population Served: Persons meeting DSM 5 criteria for substance use disorders with or without co-occurring psychiatric illness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Landscaping, to include operating zero-turn mower, weed control, and weed-eating.
- Painting and drywall repair.
- General facility maintenance, hanging pictures, minor repairing of electrical and plumbing.
- Assists in planning and coordinating all installations, refurbishments, and repairs.
- Helps manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
- Inspecting building’s structure to determine the need for repairs and renovations.
- Assists in the planning and scheduling of facility modifications, including cost estimates to be submitted to supervisor.
- Oversee general contractor's construction and installation progress.
- Oversees maintenance of general office equipment.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
