Hamilton Central Europe is located in Timisoara, Romania and develops and produces microliter syringes, needles, dosing pumps, pipetting modules and accessories for analytical and research laboratories, as well as accessories for medical devices used in intensive care units. In addition, we provide financial accounting services for the Hamilton companies.

Job Description:

• Manages the Design Engineering team within the Product Care Sheet Metal Processing Department to achieve specific KPIs
• Recruits and selects, together with the Human Resources department, subordinate personnel
• Performs actions to verify the way of working, to identify potential areas for improvement of activities for the subordinate teams and identifies solutions to increase the degree of fulfillment of the established objectives
• Responsible for the selection, evaluation, rewarding and motivating of subordinate staff, according to internal objectives
• Develops and implements the training plan of subordinate employees
• Responsible for the accuracy of ERP data specific to its area of responsibility
• Provide and supports the implementation of new products
• Manage 2D and 3D drawings
• Periodically checks the degree of workload of employees regarding daily, weekly, monthly or annual tasks and takes measures to redistribute tasks when necessary
• Continually analyzes the activity of the subordinate department and is responsible for bringing to the attention of the management the problematic aspects related to the activity as a whole as well as possible risks in the short, medium or long term
• Is part of the ECO validation committee and proposes methods of testing, validation and deadline for completing the changes related to the process
• Ensure cooperation with other departments in the company
• Reports, informs and escalates according to internal procedures

Professional experience & skills desired to have:

• Proven experience in leading engineering teams – at least 2 years
• Leadership skills and team oriented
• Experience in Sheet Metal fabrication - is a plus
• Technical background (mechanic)
• Technical drawing knowledge
• University degree
• Good English skills, German is a plus
• CAD, Microsoft Office and  an ERP system (D365 or other)
• Well organized person, self-responsible
• Problem solving attitude, with communication skills
