Job DetailsJob Location: Gibson City, IL 60936Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $18.00 - $26.00 HourlyThe EMT is a care giver who functions as a team leader when responding to emergency calls or during emergency calls or during emergency transport.  In the care giver role, the EMT-Basic/Intermediate/Paramedic, assumes the responsibility for the emergency treatment and routine transfers of patients.  As field leader, the EMT-Intermediate/Paramedic directs and oversees the care given by their co-workers, other EMS personnel, and bystanders via delegation for highest level of care, coordination, supervision, validation, and evaluation.  EMT-Basic/Intermediate perform patient care technician duties in ER within their licensure as directed by RN.
QualificationsEMT - BASIC


21 years or older
High School education or equivalent
Completion EMT-B program
Current Illinois EMT-B license
Valid Illinois drive’s license with good record


 

EMT – INTERMEDIATE


Same as above
Completion of EMT-I program
Current Illinois EMT-I license


 

EMT – PARAMEDIC


Same as EMT- B and EMT-I, plus
Completion of Paramedic program
Current Illinois EMT-P license, ACLS, PALS or PEPP and ITLS certified.
Two years as and EMT-P. Good standing with the local EMS system.
