We’re hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician (Assistant Maintenance Manager) for Steeplechase in Lexington, Kentucky. This is an ideal role for someone with strong HVAC and general maintenance experience who thrives in a fast-paced, service-focused environment.What You’ll Love About This Role

Key Responsibilities

• Universal Certification or Type I & Type II Certification in HVAC Required
• Support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily service operations.
• Step into leadership when the Maintenance Manager is unavailable
• Complete HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general property repairs
• Respond to resident service requests and uphold our 48-Hour Service Guarantee
• Assist with preventative maintenance and unit make-ready processes
• Share in the rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies
• Maintain a safe, clean, and high-quality living environment

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in residential settings
• HVAC knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Universal Certification or Type I & Type II Certification in HVAC is Required
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and teammates
• High attention to detail, reliability, and sense of urgency
• Previous multifamily or apartment maintenance experience is helpful but not required
