Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr Inspections Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to work on the premier Infrastructure project in the US.
Program background
The Gateway Program is the most urgent infrastructure program in the country – a comprehensive set of rail investments that will improve commuter and intercity services, add needed resiliency and, in its later stages, create new capacity between Newark, New Jersey and New York City, the busiest section of the Northeast Corridor (NEC). The first phase of the Gateway Program includes the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP), which includes the construction of a new two-track tunnel under the Hudson River connecting to Penn Station New York as well as the full rehabilitation of the existing 110-year-old North River Tunnel. The Gateway Development Commission (GDC), established through bi-state legislation, is responsible for the financing and development of the Hudson Tunnel Project.
The Inspections Manager will help lead a team of construction inspectors responsible for monitoring public infrastructure and heavy civil construction projects. They will help ensure that inspection services are performed efficiently and consistently while maintaining compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and applicable federal, state and local requirements. This role is in Secaucus, NJ. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity to help ensure quality, safety and efficiency on a rail-related transportation project.
In this capacity, you will be responsible for the following:
Manage, mentor, and provide technical guidance to construction inspection team.
Conduct field visits and QA/QC reviews of inspection staff.
Ensure construction activities comply with contract plans, specifications, standards, permits and applicable codes.
Review inspector documentation for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
Coordinate with inspection staff, RE, contractors, utility companies and other stakeholders to resolve field issues.
Monitor project schedules and identify potential delays or construction risks.
Promote consistent use of all required safety practices and quality standards.
Support project close-out activities, including punch lists, final inspections, and record documentation.

Experience: 15+ years of heavy highway, bridge, and roadway construction inspection experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Knowledge: Proficiency with project documentation software and reading complex engineering plans and contract documents.
High school diploma, though an associate or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management is an advantage.
