Senior Freight Forwarder

As a Senior Freight Forwarder, you ensure that goods are transported safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, collaborating with companies, importers, and exporters. You manage logistics and cover all aspects of the transport process from A to B. You work independently and as part of a team. 

As a senior, you translate strategic plans into KPIs and ensure they are achieved, including mentoring, supporting, and promoting the professional development of junior team members.

This is how you tackle your day. You: 

• handle interactions with existing and new customers, qualify, monitor, and delegate orders for execution;
• collaborate with internal teams to manage customer portfolios and implement necessary improvements;
• oversee the onboarding process for new customers in collaboration with Key Account Managers and operations;
• provide proactive advice and consultancy to ensure customer satisfaction;
• monitor internal data and customer KPIs, offering solutions for continuous improvement;
• compliance Management: Ensure all transport activities comply with laws and regulations;
• risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain;
• ensure administrative processes run efficiently and controlled, contributing to overall success;
• build and maintain customer relationships to foster beneficial partnerships for both WCSG and customer growth;
• manage costs by understanding cost structures and negotiating favorable rates and terms;
• stay up to date with market trends and competition to make strategic decisions.
