Job Description 

 

JOB TITLE:   Mill/Mixer Operator 

DEPARTMENT:  Sheet Line 

REPORTS TO:  Value Stream Manager, Sheet Line 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for mixing, milling, testing and sheeting masterbatch material for production line. Must understand and know the mixer/ mill/ COMBIS cutting procedures relevant to the department. 

 

JOB SPECIFIC TASKS:  

• ABLE TO WEIGH BATCHES TO THE PROPER AMOUNT SAFELY  

• MUST BE ABLE RUN THE MIXER PROFICIENTLY  

• MUST BE ABLE TO LOAD A SCHEDULE 

• MUST BE ABLE TO OPERATE THE MILL AND TAKE OFF THE STOCK BY YOURSELF 

• MUST BE QUALIFIED TO OPERATE THE MDR  AND BRABENDER MACHINES 

• MUST BE FAMILIAR ON THE INFORMATION TO BE WRITTEN ON THE STOCK PRIOR TO SENDING THE CAROUSEL TO THE EXTRUDER OPERATOR 

 

JOB KNOWLEDGE: 

Must be able to operate equipment in a safe and effective manner 

 

EXPERIENCE: 

High School diploma or equivalent.   Must be able to read, write and do basic math. 

 

 

CONTACT WITH OTHERS:  

Communicate with co-workers on the Sheet Line throughout the shift as needed. 

 

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:   

Value Stream Manager, Shift Coordinator and Value Stream Leader
