We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and creating delicious pastries in a fast-paced environment. Duties

• Manage all pastry operations, ensuring high-quality preparation and presentation of desserts, breads, and other baked goods.
• Maintain food cost and labor cost within approved guidelines.
• Monitor proper storage and handling of all bakery items in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Forecast demand and ensure timely delivery of baked goods to all designated outlets.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pastry area and other kitchen stations.
• Stay informed on industry trends and incorporate them into menu innovation.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in the food industry
• Knowledge of pastry and baking techniques
• Familiarity with culinary tools including knives and mixers
• Ability to handle food safely and follow sanitation guidelines
• Experience in catering or large-scale food production is a plus

Qualifications:

• Expertise in a wide variety of baking and pastry techniques.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• An associate’s degree or equivalent education and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hotel, resort, or high-end restaurant.
• Experience working with various decorative media such as sugar and chocolate.
• Strong knowledge of food cost control strategies.
