Role Overview

Ron Tonkin Honda is seeking a results-driven Parts Manager to oversee all aspects of our parts department. This leadership role is responsible for inventory management, departmental profitability, staff development, vendor relations, and delivering exceptional support to both our service team and retail customers.

The ideal candidate will have proven Parts Manager experience within an import automotive dealership environment and a strong understanding of dealership operations, inventory controls, manufacturer programs, and customer service excellence.

Parts Manager Job Responsibilities



Lead and manage all daily operations of the parts department

Maintain optimal inventory levels while controlling obsolescence
Monitor department performance and drive profitability goals
Develop and mentor parts department staff
Ensure exceptional customer service for retail, wholesale, and internal customers
Maintain accurate records, reporting, and inventory controls
Build and maintain vendor and manufacturer relationships
Collaborate closely with the service department to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
Analyze sales trends and implement strategies to increase revenue and gross profit
Ensure compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer standards

Parts Manager Qualifications


Previous experience as an Automotive Parts Manager
Import dealership experience required (Honda, Acura, Toyota, Lexus, Subaru, Mazda, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, or similar brands)
Strong inventory management and forecasting experience
Proven track record of achieving department sales and profitability goals
Experience managing and developing employees
Strong knowledge of dealership management systems and parts operations
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to analyze financial and operational reports


Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, and be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
